Welcome to Bunnyly! Let's get you online

Your hosting is ready. These five steps take most people under an hour, and we're here if you get stuck.

  1. Log in and change your password

Open the control panel (panel.1.bunnyly.com:8083) and sign in with the username and password from your welcome email. Then click your username in the top-right corner, choose Edit, set a new strong password and click Save.

  2. Point your domain to Bunnyly

At the company where you bought your domain (your "registrar"), change the nameservers to ns1.1.bunnyly.com and ns2.1.bunnyly.com.

  3. Add your domain and turn on SSL

In the panel, go to Web → Add Web Domain. Once your domain points to us, switch on free SSL so your site shows the padlock.

  4. Set up your email

Create your mailboxes (like hello@yourbusiness.com), then email support to switch on outgoing mail for your domain. This is a one-time step.

  5. Open WordPress

WordPress installs itself on your new domain within about 2 minutes. Find your WordPress login in the panel's File Manager, sign in and change that password too.

Step 1 in detail: log in and change your password

  1. Go to your control panel: https://panel.1.bunnyly.com:8083.
  2. Type the username and password from your welcome email, then click Login.
  3. Click your username in the top-right corner, then Edit (or the pencil icon).
  4. In the Password box, type a new password (or click Generate). Save it in a password manager.
  5. Click Save. Next time, log in with your new password.
Why change it? The password in your welcome email was sent by email. Choosing your own keeps your account yours. Bunnyly staff will never ask you for it.

A quick tour of the control panel

Across the top of the panel you'll see these tabs. You'll mostly use the first four:

Web

Your websites. Add domains and turn on SSL here.

DNS

Your domain's address book. Mostly automatic.

Mail

Create mailboxes and see the settings for email apps.

DB

Databases for your website. WordPress sets up its own.

Files

The File Manager, for browsing and uploading files.
